Meet Dr. Diego Herrera
Dr. Herrera Loves Practicing Dentistry in Bedford Hills
For Dr. Herrera, dentistry is more than a career. He is passionate about caring for the patients he serves, and he loves improving the experience of dental care for everyone.
Knowing that some people are hesitant – or simply scared – about visiting the dentist, he enjoys shifting that perspective and showing as many people as possible that the dental experience can be a good one from start to finish.
With an undergraduate degree from Manhattan College and a DDS from the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, his strong education laid the foundation for a long, successful career as a dental practice owner.
A Well-Rounded Perspective
For as much as Dr. Herrera enjoys being a dentist and serving patients, he also takes great pleasure in exploring many other opportunities when away from the office.
Owning a practice with his wife, Dr. Katz, has been a dream come true, and together they share four rescue dogs and a passion for the outdoors.
Some of their favorite activities include skiing and hiking, or on other occasions, just a relaxing soak in a hot tub.
No matter what activities are on the agenda, family is always the top priority for Dr. Herrera, and the love he has for his family extends to the way he treats each of his patients.
Staying on Top of His Profession
A good dentist doesn’t rest on holding a DDS earned in dental school. Ongoing education is required, as is expanding skills and knowledge through optional training classes and courses.
A member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association, Dr. Herrera also goes out of his way to obtain additional training whenever possible. That includes attending the 3D Dentists Digital Implant Continuum Advanced Sinus and Grafting and Smile Systems 3-on-6 training.
Thanks to his love for dentistry and the desire to serve all of a patient’s many oral health needs, Dr. Herrera will only continue to add to his education and training moving forward.
